International presence

One of the main strategic objectivesof Fira de Barcelona is the increased presence of international organisers, exhibitors and visitors. Currently, through its network of overseas delegations, with 33 represented countries, Fira de Barcelona carries out a permanent job of promotion and communication.

Fira de Barcelona also has excellent collaboration relations with ICEX (Foreign Trade Institute), with COPCA (Consortium for the Commercial Promotion of Catalonia) and with all European exhibition centres through the international associations of event organisers. It is an active member of the European Major Exhibition Centres Association (EMECA), the Unión des Foires Internacionales (UFI) and Exhibition Management Europe (XM Europe).

Fourth city for business

Barcelona is the fourth favourite city of top executives for conducting business, after London, Paris and Frankfurt (Cushman & Wakefield's European Cities Monitor, September 2008).
